Intercultural Communication:  A Perceptual Approach (1987)

by Marshall Singer

Humans are social beings

Every group has it's own culture.  Culture isn't just attributed by ethnicity / large groups, but every small group has it's own subculture.  Grocery clerks have their own culture, while cultures between grocery clerks at Star Market will differ slightly from the culture of grocery clerks working at Safeway.  (reminds me of class with Dr. Fontaine)

Culture consists of:

Belief System:
- Perceptions
- Identities
- Attitudes
- Values
